Interest in my DBus inspector has been increasing. I received a couple of interesting mails these days. Two people have suggested I could add a command line version, which would be similar to “dbus-send”, but use introspection data to assist in finding the appropriate values. There was also a request when I’ll add invocation support to the dbus-inspector GUI (that’s the big thing on my wishlist, btw.)

DBus-inspector was also packaged for Foresight linux, and I’ll maybe upload a package to Debian these days.

[Update: first parts of the ‘invocation GUI’ are committed. It has a column for ‘in’ parameters that you can edit, and an execute button that is only enabled when you’ve clicked on a method. But it doesn’t do actual invocation yet when you click that button.]
