I’ve done a needed upgrade to my blog software. In this process, I’ve also been changing my blogs GUIDs. Unfortunately, this probably means that some planets or feed readers will recognize all of my postings as ‘new’. Sorry about that. I’m not sure if I can somehow prevent it from happening.

Every now and then I receive a mail from someone complaining that the links to my blog entries are broken. Well, they aren’t. The link tag has an appropriate value. However some applications (usually involving planet) prepend the feeds base URI to the GUID field or use it in other RDF places. And then some readers seem to not know about the link tag and use that instead. So I’m now using the permalink as GUID, so it should be a bit easier for some people, since they now can just click on my entries.
