I’m losing my patience with IBM now. I used to be happy with my IBM, but now they are really getting on my nerves.

Last week I sent in my laptop again, because they didn’t fix my problems. When I got it back, I booted it and within 5 minutes it froze again. After a couple more tries, I didn’t even show the IBM logo during boot, apparently freezing in BIOS. Therefore I called IBM again, and after calling in again (they wanted me to sit at the machine to do some tests, since I didn’t send in my harddrive) I got another shipping box.

Today, I got a voice message on my phone that my request is “on billable hold” because my TFT is not covered by the warranty.

Dear IBM. It’s not the TFT thats broken. The TFT is just fine. At least it was when I sent it in… but unless the system does boot with an external monitor attached I do not believe the TFT is bad…

But the story is not over yet: I just called back as requested - apparently they “forgot” that I was asked to call them back, the support representative (which I had trouble understanding sometimes) was able to look up my ticket number, but had no idea what to do. He then tried to transfer me and dropped me out…

IBM, shut the fuck up and just fix my laptop, please!
