I’m happy: I was missing german “Rock’n’Roll dancing” (which is somewhat similar to jive, derived from swi brought to germany by the US soldiers). Apparently, this is not too common outside Europe… the world championship is usually helt at munich.

Rock’n’Roll is probably even a bit more acrobatic than Lindyhop and Jive. The basic step alreay means kicking in the air all the time, and already in beginners courses you will see a couple of jumps and climbing moves.

Well, luckily, I was pointed to UC Berkeley Ballrom Dancers just at the start of a five-weeks course on Lindy Hop and East Coast Swing. I like it! :-)
